VISA AND VACCINE INFORMATION

Visa and vaccine information for international participants

Visa requirements are subject to change without notice. We strongly recommend that all participants verify their country's current visa status with their local Brazilian embassy or consulate while making travel arrangements.

We look forward to welcoming you to the 44th ATRIP Annual Congress in São Paulo, Brazil. Please review the following visa requirements to ensure proper preparation for your trip.

Visa Requirements

Participants traveling from Australia, Cameroon, Canada, China, Egypt, India, Lebanon, Malawi, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, or the USA are required to obtain a visitor visa prior to departure.

Citizens travelling with passports from Australia, Canada and the United States visiting Brazil for tourism and business will be subject to visa requirements for entry into Brazilian territory starting from April 10th, 2025. These citizens can require e-Visas through the portal https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/. The process is easy, and quick and if the requirements mentioned below are met, in a few days the applicant will receive the e-Visa on his or her e-mail.

Please note that visas are not issued upon arrival in Brazil, so advance planning is essential.

Visitor visas are appropriate for conference participation, allowing stays of up to 90 days. While paid employment in Brazil is not permitted under this visa category, participants may receive reimbursements for travel expenses, daily allowances, and similar compensation.

The information provided is based on Brazil's official Ministry of Foreign Affairs website and was last updated on September 10, 2025. Please confirm current requirements as your travel date approaches.

Visa-Exempt Travel

Citizens of countries not listed above may be eligible to enter Brazil without a visa for stays of up to 90 days.

We look forward to your participation in ATRIP 2026!

Vaccination

There is no requirement to present proof of vaccination to enter Brazil. Brazil’s Ministry of Health recommends that international tourists update their immunizations prior to arriving in Brazil, in accordance with the vaccination schedule of their country of origin or residence – particularly vaccines against yellow fever, poliomyelitis (polio), measles and rubella (MMR), diphtheria, and tetanus.

Travelers who will continue on to another country should also check the vaccination schedules and entry requirements of their destination (and any transit countries) in advance.

Entry rules and health recommendations can change. Always verify the latest guidance on the official pages above before you travel.
